Getting your home treated usually takes less than a day. The preparation involves either trenching soil areas against the external walls of the home and or drilling concrete pathways against the external walls of your home. The trench is extended down the sides of the foundation and cleaned out. The chemical is applied as the soil is back filled. Holes are drilled through slabs and paths, or the concrete cut away to treat the ground beneath. The holes are resealed upon completion of the treatment. Pavers should be lifted, the soil treated and the pavers re-laid. Some soils such as heavy clays should be removed and replaced with a sandy loam before treatment.

What makes ALTRISET different? The class of chemistry to which chlorantraniliprole (the active ingredient in ALTRISET) belongs was inspired by the insecticidal properties of a natural substance found in the trees and shrubs of the Ryania spp. It targets the insect muscles (other liquid termiticides affect the nervous system). Laboratory tests have shown that termites tunnel through the treated zone and quickly acquire a lethal dose of ALTRISET.
